We closed up last weekend. Done! Disappointing! That is the word. We made it to the Shack only 3 times this season. Better luck next year!

Woah!  Last weekend was rough.  The shack was broken into; no damage no great loss.  Then...a tree fell on it - a big tree.  Luckily, no damage and no great loss.  The top of the tree brushed down the side thanks to AT&T - whose lines broke the fall.  So, after dealing with the police, then the electric crews, a few chainsaws with heavy lifting and finally AT&T we are back to normal.  Actually got to relax a little on Sunday; caught a few fish, drank a few beers, played some cards.  Until next time...

Woo hoo!  First weekend at The Shack!  We finished the interior painting last week.  Raced to open it up and clean on Friday and had a GREAT 4th of July with friends.  The Sherwood fireworks were awesome.  Everyone was out for a big party and three firework shows.

The dock is in and it is very nice.  We moved it over about 10 feet to the left and pushed it out into the water an extra 5 feet.  The added space around the dock is great and it is very stable.

Well, we have not spent any R&R time at the shack and in fact have not even opened it yet.  We were down working on the dock.  Hopefully it will be done and in within the next week.

We did a little fishing this weekend.  The kids had fun - so did the Dad's.  We did not have one bite all morning but it was great to be outside on a beautiful Spring day.  The fish are still out deep - you need a boat to get to them.

We have decided to do some maintenance to the dock (new on shore footing, minor repairs, new gangway and paint). We started this past weekend and will hopefully finish up within two weeks.

We have not opened yet - but the water is on!

I took the kids and headed down to the shack this past weekend.  We were the only ones down there!  The river was high due to the spring thaw up north.  The whole area was the cleanest I have seen it in years; especially after a long winter.

Fishing season opens this coming weekend.  We will be down to see what is in the river.

We have not opened yet.
