When is the shack open for the season?
The Shack is open on (or around) April 1st. Just in time for fishing season.

When does the shack close for the season?
When you can't get there by car.

What if the gate is shut?
Before Memorial Day and after Columbus Day you will need a key. Open the gate, drive through, and shut the gate behind you.

Is there phone service?
Yes, land line only. There is LIMITED cell service out in the woods.  There is Internet (Wi-Fi).

What do I do in an emergency?
First, don't panic. Second, Call 911. Third, look for others to help.

Are there alligators in the river?
No. Although it looks like a place where they would live. There are no alligators in Connecticut.
